DAY 2: Sigiriya Village Experience
Today, we journey to Sigiriya, where we'll experience the charm of rural Sri Lankan life. Our adventure begins with a traditional village tour, including a scenic bull cart ride, followed by a peaceful catamaran ride across a tranquil lake surrounded by beautiful countryside.
We'll then visit a local village home for a traditional cooking demonstration, where you'll discover the secrets behind authentic Sri Lankan curries before enjoying a freshly prepared local lunch.
This afternoon, it's time to conquer the iconic Sigiriya Lion Rock. As the temperatures cool, we'll climb this ancient UNESCO World Heritage Site, learning about its fascinating history along the way before being rewarded with breathtaking views from the summit.
After an unforgettable day of culture, history, and adventure, we'll settle in for the night in Sigiriya.
DAY 3: Wellness & Wildlife
Enjoy a slow morning at the hotel before experiencing one of Sri Lanka's most cherished wellness traditions. Around midday, we'll visit a Traditional Ayurvedic wellness centre for a rejuvenating full-body massage using natural herbal oils, leaving you feeling refreshed and rebalanced.
This afternoon, we'll venture into Minneriya National Park for an unforgettable safari. Keep your eyes peeled for majestic Asian elephants, along with deer, monkeys, crocodiles, and a colourful array of birdlife as we explore the park's beautiful wilderness.
After a day of relaxation and adventure, we'll return to Sigiriya to unwind and reflect on another incredible day.
DAY 4: Culture & Heritage in Kandy
This morning, we'll journey to the charming hill city of Kandy. Along the way, we'll visit the remarkable Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its ancient murals, beautifully preserved cave shrines, and impressive Buddhist statues.
We'll also stop at a traditional herbal garden, where you'll discover the island's famous spices and learn about Sri Lanka's centuries-old Ayurvedic traditions.
This evening, experience the vibrant Kandy Cultural Show, where traditional music, energetic dances, rhythmic drumming, and a spectacular fire performance bring Sri Lankan culture to life.
After a day rich in history and tradition, we'll settle in for the night in Kandy.
DAY 5: Temples, Tea & the Hill Country
This morning, we'll visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy, where you'll witness the traditional morning Thewawa ceremony at one of Sri Lanka's most revered Buddhist sites.
Our journey then continues into the scenic hill country, with a stop at the beautiful Ramboda Waterfall before visiting a working tea plantation and factory. Learn how world-famous Ceylon tea is made, try your hand at tea plucking, and enjoy a freshly brewed cup straight from the source.
This afternoon, we'll board one of the world's most scenic train journeys to Ella. Sit back and soak in breathtaking views of rolling tea plantations, misty mountains, waterfalls, and charming villages as the train winds through Sri Lanka's spectacular highlands.
On arrival, we'll transfer to our hotel in Ella and settle in for the night.
DAY 6: Hill Country Views & Yala
This morning, we'll visit the breathtaking Lipton's Seat, where sweeping views of rolling hills and endless tea plantations await. Once part of Sir Thomas Lipton's estate, this iconic viewpoint is one of the most scenic spots in Sri Lanka.
We'll then return to Ella to visit the famous Nine Arch Bridge, a picturesque landmark surrounded by lush greenery. Take in the stunning scenery, snap a few memorable photos, and, if we're lucky, watch a train pass across the bridge.
Later, we'll journey to Yala, where the rest of the afternoon is yours to relax. Unwind by the pool, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, and recharge before tomorrow's adventure.
DAY 7: Into the Wild
Today is all about adventure as we set off on a full-day safari through the wild landscapes of Yala National Park. With our experienced guide leading the way, we'll search for the park's incredible wildlife, including elusive leopards, sloth bears, elephants, colourful birdlife, and many other fascinating species.
To make the most of our time in the park, we'll enjoy packed breakfast and lunch surrounded by nature, giving us every opportunity to experience Yala's remarkable wildlife and breathtaking scenery.
After an unforgettable day in the wilderness, we'll return to our hotel in Yala for a well-earned rest.
DAY 8: Galle Fort & the Southern Coast
Today, we'll journey to Sri Lanka's beautiful southern coastline. Upon arrival, settle into your hotel and enjoy some time to relax, unwind, and soak up the peaceful beachside atmosphere.
In the afternoon, we'll explore the historic Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Asia's finest examples of a colonial-era fortified city. Wander through charming cobblestone streets, discover boutique shops and art galleries, and enjoy stunning ocean views from the ancient ramparts.
After a day of coastal beauty and cultural discovery, we'll return to the hotel for a relaxed evening by the sea.
DAY 9: Mangroves, Crafts & Coastal Traditions
This morning, we'll explore the peaceful waters of the Madu River on a relaxing boat safari through its lush mangrove forests. Discover the area's unique ecosystem, visit a traditional cinnamon island, and pass charming islands dotted with temples and local villages.
After the river safari, we'll continue our cultural journey with a visit to a traditional moonstone mine, a local handloom weaving centre, and a mask workshop, where you'll discover Sri Lanka's fascinating craftsmanship and heritage.
As the sun begins to set, we'll head to the coast to witness the iconic stilt fishermen in action. Enjoy this unique cultural experience, capture beautiful photographs, and perhaps even try your hand at this traditional fishing technique.
In the evening, we'll come together for a memorable farewell-style dinner by the coast, sharing delicious local flavours and reflecting on the incredible experiences of our journey so far.

Will I have my own room?
Our standard accommodation is on a twin-share basis, with two separate beds in each room. If you're traveling solo, you'll be paired with another guest of the same tour.
If you prefer more privacy, a private room can be arranged upon request, subject to availability and an additional single supplement.
